The accommodation comprises one double bedroom, kitchen/lounge, shower room and ample storage space.
Lounge
With not one, but two sofas, this is the place to put your feet up and watch your favourite TV shows from the Freeview LED flat-screen, or buckle up to watch a DVD, chill out to a CD or settle down to a book. Featuring wall-art from local Aberdeen artist.
Double Bedroom
Spacious, roomy, luxurious bedroom with loads of storage from the double built-in wardrobes with internal chest-of-drawers. Sumptuous king-size Hulstra designer bed with reading projection lights, bedside lights and matching bedside tables. New duck down/feather duvet, plus synthetic version if required.
Kitchen
Fully stocked with all the pots, pans, crockery, cutlery and utensils we think you'll need, plus washing machine, Calor Gas hob and oven, dish-washer, fridge with freezer compartment, microwave and loads more. There's a full-length feature window, in front of the dining table, that doubles as a door, so you can have your meal 'al fresco' and still be indoors!
Shower Room
A spacious shower room with plenty of natural light, heated towel rail, mixer shower and shaver point.
Garden Area
Acorn Bothy's South facing, so you get the best of the sun all day, and with a new decking area angling West, it's a perfect place to catch the sunsets. The garden area is stocked with a glittering selection of shrubs, trees, alpine and border plants. And the best thing about it... is you don't have to do the weeding!
Location Notice
Acorn Bothy nestles in the shadows of Oakwood house, occupied by the owners of Acorn Bothy. But we're great believers in giving you your space and privacy... so whilst you're in the Bothy, you can come and go at will.
Parking
There is plenty of parking on private ground just next to Acorn Bothy.
Pets
Sorry... but we don't allow pets. Although we might make an exception for a caged stick insect or a stuffed parrot.
Accessibility
Acorn Bothy is accessed about 20 paces from the parking area on a slightly inclined gravel ground. There is one step up into the property. Acorn Bothy is all on one floor. The shower is a step-in facility and we provide an anti-slip mat.
No Smoking
Sorry... but we don't allow smoking inside Acorn Bothy, and yes, that includes trying to have a sneaky puff out of the window. Of course, you're free to smoke outside. There's no law about that. Not yet.
Private water information
Acorn Bothy gets water from a spring located on our local estate. It is safe to drink. We get professional water sampling and testing annually and also have a filtration system comprising a UV and string filter. The filtration system is serviced annually. Details of the sampling results are in our Guest Information Pack in the Bothy, or a copy can be emailed to you in advance.
